FAM Website Prank On Christmas Day

Ahead of the AFF Suzuki Cup final first-leg match, where Malaysian team will be hosting Indonesian neighbours, the website of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) was messed during the early hours of Christmas Day.

FAM hacked

Hackers who identified themselves as AhliSyurgaCrew claimed responsibility of the prank page which was initially thought as a hack. A Malaysian Chinese boy’s image was put on the FAM’s main page, which I have no idea why.

A visit to FAM’s homepage (http://www.fam.org.my/) showed that there’s no sign of being hacked as the site runs index.asp as its homepage instead of index.html, which is the file that is believed to have been uploaded by the hacker earlier today.

The young Malaysian team made their way to the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 final after clinching victory against Vietnam last week. They won 2-0 at Bukit Jalil Stadium during the first-leg and ended the second-leg match with a goalless draw in Vietnam.

They are scheduled to play against Indonesia tomorrow at Bukit Jalil Stadium for the first-leg match of the final.
