YB Long's Birthday Dinner At Ocean Restaurant

Small Talk: Manchester United drew 1-1 against their Londoner rival, Chelsea. Maybe I shouldn't have laughed at Liverpool for their draw game last night =(

Thinking at the bright side, a point is always better than going back to Old Trafford empty handed =D

The way we celebrate birthdays changes from time to time. When we're ten, we celebrate our birthdays at fast-food restaurants like KFC and McDonald's.

Friends are invited and everyone had fun there.

Soon when we're in secondary school, we tend to go out and celebrate together at any restaurant that's nearby a cyber cafe. Better yet, an all-time everyone's favourite cyber cafe. For instance, the current one in KT is the Wildzone. But this happens only when the host is a birthday boy.

After celebration at the restaurant, the guys will get their arses in the cyber cafe and start staring at the monitors with their hands on both the keyboard and mouse.

No, they don't do porn during birthdays - they either dotA or CS, that's it. Meanwhile the girls, well, they've got to figure out their own plan for the rest of the night.

Birthday Boy and Birthday Girl
Sabrina (left) and Jee Long (aka YB Long) share the same birthday.

Last Thursday, Jee Long generously invited me to join him and the others for dinner at Ocean Restaurant. See? When you're eighteen, you don't celebrate birthday at ANY restaurant, you celebrate it at famous restaurant and yes, Ocean Restaurant is indeed a famous one in KT.

Twenty-three of us including both the birthday boy and girl occupied two tables in the air-conditioned room.

First Table
First table.

Second Table
And second table.

Of course Jee Long wasn't sitting at both tables all the time.

The food was nice and I've no better words to describe the delight of having every single bit of the irresistibly delicious food crunched in my mouth and swallowed into my tummy.

Cuisine
But of course I didn't eat like a hungry tiger.

It took us shorter time to finish the food than to wait for the food to be served and soon Jee Long was presented with his birthday cakes.

Fruit Cake
The first cake.

Birthday Cakes
And the second cake.

Yes, exactly - two cakes. You must be wishing you have us to celebrate your birthday with you now.

Bo Long Cuts The Cake
Needless to mention, Jee Long blew the api off the candles, made a wish (I don't know if he made more than one wish) and cut the cake.

Another two tables in the same room as ours were some veterans or should I said 'grown up adults' (I don't wanna mention the phrase 'old people') and surprisingly, they were celebrating someone's birthday as well!

Sharing Is Caring
Although they sang a different version of birthday song to the birthday man, Jee Long still gave him a piece of cake. And he gave us a bigger piece of Pandan flavoured cake and a glass of wine to Jee Long.

He must've knew that Jee Long has just turned legal.

Birthday Guy and Birthday Boy
It's so good to have so many people sharing the same birthday and everyone gets to celebrate it together.

And nothing in this world beats friends after family.

Happy Belated Birthday, Jee Long =)
