Sunday Morning, Stuck in Sunway

Small Talk: If you liked the video of Susan Boyle in my previous post, I bet you’ll love Lil’ Susan Boyle too (=

Lemmi share with you a funny story I was told before I move on resume doing my assignments.

There was this guy, hmm... let’s call him Vee. (Read: V) So, one day Vee was travelling to KL to meet his friend and after travelling by bus the whole night, he arrived in KL as early as 5am.

From there he found his way to the city’s main public transportation hub, KL Central and from KL Central he was waiting for the bus that heads to Subang Perdana, in Subang Jaya. The fact that he didn’t want to take a cab was because taking a cab would cost a bomb compared to taking a bus, even though taking a bus might cost a little more time. “Never mind,” he thought, “at least I can save a lot by taking bus.”

And so it was about 6 something in the morning and he waited for the bus to arrive. Before he left his hometown he checked on the bus company’s website for its schedules and routes and so he thought taking the U81 bus would eventually bring him to Subang Perdana, as what he saw from the website.

Came the U81 bus and he didn’t hesitate to quickly board on it. As the bus travelled, he was looking around, sceneries (though there weren’t any), and thinking that how smart he was to have taken a bus instead of a cab to save cost.

When the bus was at the Federal Highway, the driver took a turn onto the ramp that was heading towards Subang, as in the Subang Airport. He didn’t know that wasn’t the right turn to get to Subang Perdana but he didn’t really care because he thought he was in the correct bus. What’s worse was that he thought the driver had some other ways to get to Subang Perdana and that’s why he took that turn whereas in actual fact, that turn will never bring anyone to Subang Perdana.

When checking the routes and schedules, Vee missed out something. He didn’t realise that there’s two places called Subang Perdana. One is the one in Subang, Shah Alam whilst another is his actual destination – the one in Subang Jaya. The U81 bus was heading to Subang Perdana of Shah Alam instead of Subang Perdana of Subang Jaya.

Voila! Vee’s on the wrong bus~ Neninenipupu~

How did he find that out, you asked? Hah! Because when all the other passengers already got to their respective destination, Vee got really curious (the cat almost died) so he went forward and talked to the bus driver. “This bus isn’t going to Subang Jaya, next stop is the last stop already (which is MahSing),” replied the driver when Vee asked him if the bus is going to Subang Perdana in Subang Jaya, “you need to take U63 to get there.”

How horrible. The driver then dropped Vee at somewhere in nowhere and he waited for another U81 bus (which was heading from MahSing to Pasar Seni) to arrive. From there he took a U-turn (by taking the same bus of opposite destination) and got down at the Federal Highway, just behind Mentari Court. Mentari Court is beside the Taylor’s PJ and a stone’s throw away from Setia Jaya KTM station.

Crossed the highway to a bus stop and ended up waiting for U63 bus there.

Five minutes gone and he saw U81 bus passed.

Another five minutes gone and he already saw U64 and CityLiner buses passed.

Then U65 passed by too.

But U63 just wouldn’t come. And guess what, it was already 8 something in the morning. Vee wasted almost an hour travelling to somewhere in the middle of nowhere (it was actually Seksyen U5, he then realised) and got back to the Mentari Court bus stop by the Federal Highway and then he waited for another half an hour or so.

Frustrated, he couldn’t wait any longer and had his gf to pick him up. From 6am till almost 9am – he got on the wrong bus at first and ended up spending almost 3 hours getting here, there and nowhere. So, moral of the story is, do not take a bus if you do not know Kuala Lumpur. If you were given instruction to take buses of certain numbers, then follow the instructions, do not act smart.

That’s why people always say if you’re intelligent, don’t act smart; if you’re smart, don’t act strong! (or something like that lol)

What a long story. If you’ve spent your time reading them all, you’ve come to the best part of all. So, who’s Vee actually?? This ain’t a make-up story, you know, because Vee is none other than...

...Yours Sincerely =P

Now you can sing, ‘Stevie is so stupid.’
